#2 - only gathered at the top and bottom - by the fringes. Then clamped every few spaces, because I didn't have confidence in the knots I tied in the silk threads.

#3 was gathered along the selvedges for length-wise stripes. I held the ends with rubber bands to make sure it resisted the dye.
