winding the warp
Before getting to the loom, each project, once the colors and threads are selected, starts on this warping mill. Each long warp thread has to be measured out and organized into the pattern you’ll see in your cloth. Each thread is wound to the correct length and in the correct order, then taken over to the loom (with some strategic ties in place) to begin the process of “dressing” the loom.
