Sari Scarf with Turquoise Silk

$159.00

Gauzy scarf in bright sari colors, bringing cheer to winter days. This scarf will drape elegantly and mark you out as a jewel in a winter landscape.

The weave structure is called supplemental warp - the long green silk threads float over and through the plain weave fabric.

Fine cotton warp with silk and cotton weft. This is an ultra-light scarf, perfect for warm climates or heated rooms. The warp for this scarf is based off a design from Jane Stafford Textiles. If you ever want to learn to weave, her Online School of Weaving is the absolute best!

Hand wash gently in cold water, lay flat to dry. If you want to press out any wrinkles, use a hot dry iron.

Color choices

Once a sample is woven, it is time to select the colors for the final scarf. Up at the top, you can see the turquoise silk bobbins just calling out to be used as a feature.

weaving

I think the turquoise silk shaped up very nicely!
