Huck Lace Scarf in Purple Bamboo

$199.00

A soft, silky scarf made of 100% bamboo (a rayon). The bamboo threads are shimmery and light, with a soft sheen, at a fraction of the cost of silk. A very nice fabric!

The weave structure is huck lace (or huckaback, depending on how far back you research), which gives the bamboo plenty of space to catch and reflect light. This scarf is based off a design from Jane Stafford Textiles. If you ever want to learn to weave, her Online School of Weaving is the absolute best!

Hand wash in cold water, blot and lay flat to dry. If you want to polish it to a shine, use a medium hot, dry iron. 69 inches long plus an eight-inch fringe. 9 inches wide.

Sampling

Before I weave a scarf, I always sample potential designs in some test fabric.

Weaving

Then, when I’m ready to weave, I can focus on the substance of the pattern.
