Twisted Fringe
Every shawl has a twisted fringe. I hand stitch a hem along a couple of weft threads, catching the long warp threads. Then, the ends have to be twisted into the final long, round fringes before the piece is washed. Otherwise, the fringe turns into a matted, knotty mess. Ask me how I know …
